The Center for Human Evolution convenes prominent thinkers in small workshops to share their knowledge and perspectives of the evolutionary factors affecting the long-term future of humanity.

Overview

The Center for Human Evolution was established by Foundation For the Future in 1998. Its activities include providing funds for studies in the field of human evolution, publishing the results of research in human evolution, and hosting workshops concerning human evolution. Each workshop brings together six to ten scholars, experts in fields related to the evolution topic designated for discussion. Participation is by invitation only. Researchers interested in participating in workshops on specific aspects of human evolution may contact the Foundation with a description of their expertise.

Workshop Subject Areas

Workshops focus on a wide range of human evolution questions including, but not limited to:

• How did human intelligence evolve and how is it currently evolving?

• What role does culture play in the evolution of human societies?

• How do genetic factors influence human behavior, intelligence, innovation, motivation, and achievement?

• What role will medical and genetic technologies play in the future evolution of human intelligence and in the long-term evolution of human societies?

• What role does dysgenics play in the development of human societies?
